We publish data-driven, veterinarian-backed guidance on Labradoodle genetics, health, grooming and training — and we prioritise the dog's wellbeing over what sells puppies.
Why this site exists
Labradoodle information online is unusually noisy. Much of it is written to sell puppies, which is why you will find confident claims that a crossbreed is "100% hypoallergenic", that hybrid vigour removes inherited disease risk, or that a rare coat colour is a mark of quality. None of those hold up.
LabradoodleWeb exists to give prospective and current owners the version of that information a veterinarian or a geneticist would recognise: what the evidence actually says, what is still uncertain, and what it means for the dog living in your house.
Our editorial standards
Health over aesthetics
Where a trait is popular but carries a health cost, we say so. Coat colour and 'rare' patterns are never worth a preventable disease, and we cover the genetics that explain why.
Sourced, not asserted
Health and genetics claims cite veterinary and academic sources — Merck, Cornell, OFA, PennHIP, AVSAB, UC Davis and peer-reviewed literature. Every article lists its references.
Plain about uncertainty
Where the evidence is thin or contested, we say that too, rather than presenting a confident answer the research doesn't support.
Independent recommendations
Products are selected on merit. We earn affiliate commissions on some purchases, which never determines whether a product is recommended.
How our guides are researched
Health and genetics articles are built from primary veterinary sources rather than other blogs. Where a guide makes a clinical claim — a diagnostic test, a treatment protocol, an inheritance pattern — it is referenced inline and listed in full at the end of the article.
Guides carry a published date and, where they have been revised, an updated date. We correct errors rather than quietly deleting them, and we would rather say "the evidence is mixed" than invent certainty.

We are an independent publisher. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to the World Australian Labradoodle Association (WALA) or any breed registry, and a listing in our breeder directory is not an endorsement.
